Shopping in Panama City
One of the best spots to shop for souvenirs such as molas (textile art), jewellery and woven baskets is La Reprosa in Casco Viejo or the expansive National Handicrafts Market in Panamá Viejo. Panama City's wealthy inhabitants flock to the upmarket Mall Mulitplaza Pacific in the residential Punta Pacifica district to peruse designer clothing and goods. Boutiques line downtown streets and residential neighbourhoods. Most shops are open Monday-Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 11am-6pm.
Mall Multiplaza Pacific
High-end fashion
Mall Multiplaza Pacific is said to be Panama City's most impressive mall, and
is conveniently located near the city centre. Here, you'll find
international designers such as Armani but, for smaller budgets, there's
also a decent selection of mid-range boutiques.
