Things to do
At dawn, take a romantic walk across the Vltava River from Staré Mesto and see the silhouettes of Charles Bridge’s statues hover like ghosts. Beautifully lit, the majestic Prague Castle awaits on the other side.
Shopping
Blood-red garnets and wooden puppets are the souvenirs holidaymakers take back on their flights from Prague. Search for them in the cobbled streets of Mala Strana where boutiques neighbour Baroque churches and restaurant cellars.
Restaurants
Pork, cabbage and dumplings are staples but beer is the foodie draw in Bohemia. Share a large pub table with the locals around Vinohrady and try Prague’s best brews and hearty local fare.
Nightlife
A long tradition of world-class classical music makes a ticket to the opera a must-see on your Prague city break. See performances at The Estates Theatre, The National Theatre or the State Opera.

KLM has frequent flights to Prague. Book yours in May for the Prague International Music Festival or travel between December and February for Prague's Ball Season.

Long Weekend in Prague25 Apr 13
Our Prague trip was very nice, and we were able to see a lot of beautiful things. Although the prices of souvenir items were a bit pricey compared to other European cities, they were quite unique and I believe in very good quality. Restaurants served very good food, and we were able to try quite a number because they didn't charge as much. The square had very nice food and products, and the people manning the stores were very friendly. My only complaint is that Sunday life in Prague is very dull with very little to do, but I guess this is true in many other European cities.MLD - Netherlands

Although travelling alone, or with family, or as a romantic getaway, will have its own perks, Prague I think is best traveled with friends.
