    Things to do in Moscow

Moscow's main sites – including the Kremlin, Lenin's Mausoleum and the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts – lie within a mile of Red Square. South-west is the Novodevichy Cemetery, while northwards Prospekt Mira is home to the Stalinist architecture of The All-Russia Exhibition Centre (VDNKh). Most museums open 10am-6pm, and close one day a week, usually on a Monday. Entry charges for foreigners can be double those for Russian nationals.

Lenin's Mausoleum, on Red Square, houses its famous corpse within a 1930s Constructivist masterpiece. Visitors include fewer die-hard Bolsheviks than tourists these days, but the whole place is a good reminder of how things used to be around here.Show this on map
