Casco Viejo is one of the best spots for souvenir shopping before return flights from Panama City, while El Cangrejo and El Area Bancaria offer boutiques and proximity to large shopping centres such as Mall Multiplaza Pacific.

A holiday in Panama City offers everything from sushi and Arabic dishes in the city centre to typical Panamanian food at every corner. The Amador Causeway is good for international cuisine, as is the Casco Viejo neighbourhood.

Vibrant Calle Uruguay offers everything from small bars to live music. The Amador Causeway has small dance clubs and popular weekend hangouts. For more laid-back evenings on holidays in Panama City, head to places like Bar Platea in Casco Viejo.

KLM has frequent flights to Panama City. Try to schedule your Panama City trip during the dry season (December-April), or a Panama City holiday, such as Carnival or Independence Day.

Je suis partie pour voir les écluses, mais le reste m'a vite attirée, si vous ne parlez pas espagnol, c'est impossible de voyager dans le panama, pas de centre d'information, pas de nom de sans horaires, sans destination, grâce à ma fille trilingue, nous avons fait le PLUS BEAU VOYAGE... Nous sommes parties toutes les deux, sans aucun danger, le peuple est reposant, j'écoute en boucle un cd de musique local, pour perdurer mon voyagemakakalala - france

Go to Contadora and Bocas de Toro. Kuna Yala is worth visiting too!

Although it's still hard to find any tourist-info at the offices in your homecountries about PANAMA, this country offers even more than Costa Rica, it's neighbour. Plan your holidays with sufficient time to stroll around all beautifull places. San Blas, Casca Viejo, Portobelo (with the Black Christ), Boca del Toro and the only vulcano of this Central American Country. Visit the Panama Canal, see Balboa and Cristobal harbour and enjoy the excellent food.

The country is qute safe while nature is great... prices are attractive for shopping since taxes are quite low... It is nice to go during day time and evening to Casco Viejo... it is also nice go to Soberania Zoo...Denis - Ukraine

Panama city is a bit lacking the charm of the rest of the country. It is a nice enough place to start your journey through Panama, but I would advice to see the rest of the country which has much more charm than the capital. Do not miss the old part of Panama City 'casco viejo'!Willem - Netherlands

During 'Semana Santa' many stores and restaurants are closed. Keep that in mind when you visit the city around Easter.
