Things to do
Travel into Toronto’s past, viewing ivory aboriginal carvings and towering dinosaur skeletons in the Royal Ontario Museum. The artefacts stand in stark contrast to the museum building with its contemporary architectural wing, called Crystal.
Shopping
Before return flights from Toronto, fill your bags with gauzy dresses, chunky costume jewellery and hand-knit sweaters, all on display in the shop windows of Queen West. From one-of-a-kind accessories to exclusive boots, Queen West is where fashion-forward locals go to buy Toronto originals.
Restaurants
Dine on crispy salads and steak frites, or thick hamburgers and chips at Toronto’s Distillery District. The brick Victorian historic district once distilled spirits, but today offers lots of casual dining options, from bistros to brew pubs.
Nightlife
Canadians celebrate their national pastime at hockey games in the Air Canada Centre, within view of Lake Ontario in downtown Toronto. Buy tickets to a game and cheer with the crowds as the ice flies, the puck soars and the Toronto Maple Leafs score another goal.
When to go
KLM has frequent flights to Toronto. Plan your Toronto city break to celebrate the Toronto Jazz Festival in June or the International Film Festival in September.

Verblijf in de langste straat van de wereld....vriendelijke mensen en een prachtige stadstour waardoor je deze grote stad een beetje leert kennen. We hebben ons daar prima vermaakt!Anita - Canada

Ik zelf zat bij familie en heb een hoop gezien. de herfst kleuren van de natuur is zo mooi dat zie je in holland niet.h.worp -

Ik vlieg vaak op Toronto en de stad "makes me smile every time". Het is een levendige stad, echt multi-culti met aanbod voor iedereen. Persoonlijk vind ik de Skywalk op het dak van het CN taurant (356 meter) de meest indrukwekkende ervaring. Weer is goed, warm in de zomer en koud in de winter, ha zoals het hoort. Toronto, stad van muziek, cultuur en evenementen.03 Aug 12
Toronto is een stad die je misschien niet snel als vakantie bestemming zou bedenken, maar als je van cultuur, muziek, winkelen, evenementen en lekker eten houd dan zou ik het zeker een keer komen bezoeken. In de zomermaanden (vanaf half april) is er bijna elke week wel een evenement met muziek, film of culinair. Of maak een uistapje naar Toronto Island. In de winter is t koud, maar kun je overdekt winkelen in het path of eaton centre of lekker schaatsen direct aan Lake Ontario. Je zit dicht bij Niagara Falls, die kun je makkelijk als dagtrip bezoeken. Ook alle verscholen patio's en optredens zijn leuk om te ontdekken, loop eens een cafe in en ontdek het locale muzikale talent. Je hebt hotels in alle prijsklassen.leoniesta - Nederland

Er zijn een aantal plaatsen die ik geweldig vind: Trinity Bellwoods Park, AGO (Art Gallery Ontario), West Queen West, Yonge & Dundas Square, Liberty Village, Leslieville, Kensington Market, St. Lawrence Market, Toronto Island, The Beaches. Mijn favoriete bars: The Painted Lady, The Press Club & The Old Nick. Beste muziek venues: The Elmocambo, The Horseshoe Tavern, The Dakota Tavern, The Painted Lady, The Old Nick, Rivoli en nog heel veel meer, pak de NOW! Toronto en see for yourself. Voor dames alleen zou ik niet aanraden om 's avonds alleen rondom Jarvis St. te vertoeven, is niet een hele gezellige buurt. in het centrum is in principe alles is te lopen, maar TTC is best goed geregeld. Taxi's zijn ook niet ontzettend duur. Als je de kans hebt ga een ijshockey, baseball of basketball wedstrijd bekijken, ook leuk in Liberty Village is een cafe/restaurant genaamd School met een Nederlandse eigenaar. Ik kan alleen maar zeggen, veel plezier, en mocht je in een van mijn favo bars zijn, vraag even of ik er ben. Cheers, Leo
