Fit In
Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country, so respectful clothing should be worn. However Jakarta is also a cosmopolitan city with plenty of foreign inhabitants, so normal tropical climate dress is appropriate and acceptable. For visits to religious sites, such as mosques, wear conservative dress - do not wear shorts, off-the-shoulder tops or any revealing clothes.
