For something more contemporary opt for a modern taverna – Mamacas in Gazi is currently in vogue. Visit upmarket Kolonaki, where cosmopolitan restaurants include multi-ethnic Altamira. Matsuhisa Athens is one of several waterside fish restaurants at Vouliagmeni.
