Rail
The SA Rail Express Lines (Brown and Red Lines) link the Public Transportation Centre with Makkasan and Phyathai stations in central Bangkok. The journey time is 15 and 18 minutes respectively, while the slower commuter line (Blue Line) to Phayathai Station takes 27 minutes. Single fares cost THB90 on the express services and THB15-45 on the commuter line.
Coach
Public BMTA and BorKhorSor buses run from the airport to the city centre. The buses operate 24 hours daily and cost THB35 for a single journey. The pick-up point is outside the Public Transportation Centre (get there by the free shuttle bus from Arrivals).
Taxi
The taxi rank for official airport taxis is outside Level 1 at Arrivals, near entrances 4 and 7. The fare from the airport to the city centre is approximately THB400, including a standard surcharge of THB50 for all airport taxis plus toll fees. Pre-order shared-van rides into the city from THB50.
Car
The airport is on the east-bound Bangna-Trat Highway in the Bang Phli district, in the Samut Prakarn province. The car-hire counter is at Arrivals Level 2. Take the shuttle bus to the Public Transportation Centre to collect your vehicle. It will take 30-60 minutes to drive into Bangkok.
