Restaurants in St Maarten

Most visitors come for the sun but leave craving the cuisine. Restaurants serve everything from steaks at The Greenhouse to creative Italian at Spiga. Seafood and French dominate, though. Try lobster thermidor at Antoine or honey-glazed duck at Mario's Bistro. Lolos, huts lining Grand Case Beach, are good for lunchtime snacks. Opening hours vary so check with the establishment. If service has not been added, a customary tip is 10% to 15%.

Antoine

French by the sea

The warmth of Antoine's owner Jean Pierre Pomarico seems to permeate everything in this comfortable seaside bistro in Philipsburg. But it is the food that really shines. The pastas, seafood and meat entrees are delicious but the real house specialities are the lobster bisque and sumptuous lobster thermidor which oozes cream and Swiss cheese.
