Switzerland's intercontinental air hub is a favourite of shoppers and plane-spotters alike. More than 23 million passengers pass through stylishly revamped Zurich Airport each year. Central Zurich is only 12 km (8 miles) away, a 10-minute train ride.
All shoppers can target the Airport Shopping and its discounted big-name brands outlet. Passengers have the added bonus of the post-security two-level Airside Centre. A well-rounded mix of luxury brand names and familiar favourites feature here. Snap up Hermès accessories, Burberry fashion, Bally shoes, Bulgari perfumes and jewellery, La Prairie cosmetics and Sprüngli chocolates. Zurich is one of the few remaining European airports to offer the full range of duty-free bargains on cosmetics, alcohol, accessories and perfumes. Tax-free shops are in the Airside Centre and at Gates A and E.
Wireless high-speed internet access is available throughout the airport. There are also computer stations with internet access in the public and passenger areas.
