Helsinki Vantaa Airport
The Nordic region's fourth-largest airport, Helsinki Vantaa serves over 13 million passengers annually. Helsinki is 20 km (12 miles) south of the airport and the bus to the city centre takes 30-40 minutes.
The Finnair City Bus 615 is the quickest option, linking the airport and the city centre in around 35 minutes. It runs every 20 minutes from 5.45am to 1.10am daily, stopping at two major city centre hotels and the bus terminal outside the central railway station. The fare is €6.20 each way.
Helsinki Region Transport provides bus services between the airport and the city. A single fare is €4.50 and bus timetables vary according to destination.
Bus stops are in front of the terminals.
Taxis from the airport to the city centre take around 30 minutes, and cost about €35-€40. There are taxi ranks outside the arrivals halls of both Domestic and International Terminals, and taxi service desks are situated in Arrivals halls 1 and 2. Fixed-fare shared taxis are also available.
The Tuusula Road (highway 45) links the city with the airport. Minimum journey time is around 30 minutes, but this increases at busy times. Car-hire desks are located in the walkways between the terminals.
