Helsinki Vantaa Airport
The Nordic region's fourth-largest airport, Helsinki Vantaa serves over 13 million passengers annually. Helsinki is 20 km (12 miles) south of the airport and the bus to the city centre takes 30-40 minutes.
Vantaa Airport offers two shopping areas, Boulevard and Avenue, in Terminal 2, and one, Galleria, in Terminal 1. Duty-free is available for passengers travelling to non-EU destinations. Shops offer a wide range of competitively priced goods, from Moomin cuddly toys, electronic items, cosmetics and perfumes to Finnish jewellery, design, fashion and speciality foods.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the terminal buildings. Time limited user IDs are available from a number of cafés and shops in the airport. Internet kiosks are available at various locations for those not carrying a laptop, while workstations with internet connections are also offered at Go!Café and eService Bar in Terminal 2.
East & Drink
Numerous cafés, snack bars and restaurants are available in both terminals. For coffee and pastry treats head for Café Picnic in the Boulevard shopping area of Terminal 2. For something stronger, The Oak Barrel Irish-style pub in Terminal 2 is an obvious choice.
