    Nightlife in Houston

There are lively bars in Downtown Houston and up-and-coming Midtown. Dress up for clubbing at the Venue or sing along to country and western at McGonigel's Mucky Duck. Jazz is a perennial favourite across the city. Most bars open from the afternoon until late evening or the early hours, but not all open at lunchtime.
