Restaurants in Miami

In Miami, there's a world of cuisine, from Asian fusion to classic all-American diners. Expensive establishments cluster around South Beach's Collins Avenue, including upmarket sushi restaurant Blue Sea. In Little Havana, you can find affordable Cuban coffee, late-night cocktails and ethnic menus from Cuban to Haitian. The up-and-coming Design District brims with laid-back restaurant-lounges. Most Miami restaurants close surprisingly early but there are late-opening bars along South Beach. Around 15% tip is expected.

The Starck-designed décor at Blue Sea, in South Beach's landmark Delano Hotel, matches the equally designer sushi on offer. Sitting just off the hotel's gleaming lobby, 18 sought-after seats perch around a pristine marble counter, over which expensive delicacies fly. Caviar and ultra-fresh oysters are washed down with cocktails from the Rose Bar next door.
