Comprehensive insurance
Prefer to be prepared for everything? Comprehensive insurance covers you all throughout your trip.
Comprehensive insurance includes:
- missed/canceled flight insurance ,
- repatriation assistance, in case of illness or injury that requires your immediate return to Belgium for medical care,
- coverage for medical fees abroad (up to €150,000), if your condition allows you to receive treatment on site,
- interrupted trip insurance (in case of serious incidents requiring an early return, you're covered for each “unused” day of your trip),
- damage to baggage (coverage for lost or stolen bags),
- personal liability.

Cancellation insurance
Missed/canceled flight insurance: cancelling with minimum fees
Unexpectedly forced to cancel your flight? What does Mondial Assistance Europe N.V. guarantee?
* The reimbursement of cancellation charges due according to the KLM ticket*, to the exclusion of file charges, when you cancel the trip before departure.
* The reimbursement of modification costs, limited to the indemnity in case of cancellation, if you change your flight before departure.
*Up to the cost of the original departure ticket.
Forced to cancel: the conditions for reimbursement
Prior to departure, the unforeseen incident that keeps you from flying must have taken place in your country of residence.
The policy notably covers you in case of:
- illness or accident affecting you or your close relatives,
- family emergency (death of a family member, summons for adoption, etc.),
- terrorist attack in your destination city,
- professional emergency (layoff, new employment, vacation days changed by your employer, etc.),
- theft of identity documents occurring within 48 hours of departure,
- etc.
When cancelling your departure flight, you must first inform KLM. Then, in the 5 days following the unforeseen incident, inform Mondial Assistance and send all necessary documentary evidence.

Did you miss your flight? Missed flight insurance covers the price of a new ticket to the same destination in the 24 hours following your original flight! Important: we recommend that you arrive at the airport well in advance of the Check-in Deadline for your flight! If you miss your flight, you must inform Mondial Assistance immediately.
