Ground Operation Duty Manager – Beijing Station
General description of duties and responsibilities:
- The Ground Operations Duty Manager is responsible for the safety, security, service delivery and a/c handling process in his/her station for AF and KL and, where applicable third parties during his/her shift.
- He/She will keep track of the quality levels and the targets agreed upon.
- He/She will co-ordinate activities on his/her station towards the Station Manager, OAM (Logex) / General Manager and others vice versa.
- The Ground Operations Duty Manager will deputise for the (Joint) Station Manager in case of his/her absence.
Activities:
- Control and monitor handling agent activity and results, both 'above' and 'below the wing'.
- Coordinate various aspects of passenger and a/c handling with the agent.
- Coach the handling agent.
- Ensure that aircraft handling procedures are carried out as laid down in the applicable company manuals.
- Coordinate with airport authorities, technical department, catering, cargo etc.
- Take care of flight plan and/or provision of flight plan to the crew & briefing (when applicable).
- Arrange various crew issues like transport, calling time of crew and other crew related matters.
- Coordinate slot requests and overflight permission where applicable.
- In case of 3rd party handling, coordinate activities with airline representatives.
- Responsible for line maintenance activities in case of AF flights.
- Ensure that decisions are made within established company standards.
- Take care of/responsible for all service recovery and delay recovery activities in case of a disrupted flight, in co-ordination with the Station Manager.
- Ensure minimum over-supply with respect too\ catering orders needed for a flight.
- Report to superiors on a daily basis about flights and take care of regular flow of information on activities to superior.
- Take care of various compensation payments to pax on request/behalf of Station Manager.
- Assist Station Manager in administrative tasks like budgeting, reporting, invoice control.
- Ensure proper compilation and storage of flight files according to local and company regulations.
- Control and fill the malfunction and irregularity reports.
- Maximize excess baggage & ticket revenue

Experience and competencies required:
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience as station duty manager or 2 years’ experience in supervising ground handlers

Ground Services Supervisor – Hangzhou Station

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Overall objectives
- Optimize handling processes: steer and manage all handling activities (in case of self handling) and coordinate with the agents (in case of outsourcing) to ensure a timely, safe and efficient flight handling process.
- Deliver excellent passenger service: responsible for all services related to all passenger handling activities incl. catering according to the AF and KL standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
- Support flight operations process: perform all supporting activities to ensure an efficient handling of flights for AF and KL and, where applicable, third parties.
- Perform administrative tasks: perform administrative activities that support the actual handling of flights for AF and KL and, where applicable, third parties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum. 2 years relevant working experiences at station
- English: Fluent
- Comparable to highest level of secondary education.
- Thorough knowledge of the passenger handling process, aircraft handling process incl. cargo & technical process.
- Will have to be trained to pass relevant licenses for aircraft handling and/or dangerous goods.
- In possession of relevant licenses for aircraft handling and/or dangerous goods.
- Knowledge of airport infrastructure. Languages: Fluent in Mandarin (oral/written) and English.
