Hand-in-Hand With Society
KLM aims to strengthen its ties with the society in which it operates. We want to do more than add economic value. We also want to make an essential contribution to the society. To this end, we have adopted the UN’s Millennium Development Goals as our key guideline.
We can contribute to society by way of good collaboration and communication. To achieve the greatest possible effect, we focus on our home base at Schiphol as well as the communities at the destinations we serve. For this same reason, we base our contribution on our competencies as an airline. Beyond that, we find that a high level of staff commitment is essential for making a sustainable and effective contribution to society.
Volunteer Work
Many KLM employees do volunteer work. At home and abroad, our colleagues assists orphanages, cook for homeless persons, or do volunteer work in sports and recreation.
