Adding Value
KLM wants its activities to add value to its surroundings — for customers, staff, and broader society. We devote special attention to the communities affected by our activities at our destinations abroad and in the Netherlands.
We add value by looking beyond market opportunities and profitability when developing new products – also taking into account factors relating to planet and people. One example is a new range of products that KLM Cargo is developing, allowing larger shippers to make a conscious choice for CO2-neutral transport. We also add value within communities by offering more and better-quality job opportunities. We also offer support to those who are less privileged. For instance, by providing extra schooling in reading and writing.
