Good Management, Clear Accountability

Good management and sustainable business practices must be accompanied by transparent and verifiable accountability. For this reason, KLM endorses the Global Reporting Initiative of the United Nations.

Our annual sustainability reports meet all of the Global Reporting Initiative’s international guidelines.

Commitment is Key

By signing the United Nations’ Global Compact, KLM has pledged its commitment human rights, working conditions, anti-corruption, and the environment. We were closely involved in the creation of the Dutch chapter of the Global Compact.

AIR FRANCE KLM extends its responsibility by requesting suppliers to sign up to the Sustainable Development Charter, which among other things also includes the principles of the Global Compact.

As It Should Be

We strive to ensure that all our staff adhere to all of the rules and regulations governing good management and correct business practices. Using specific codes of conduct, we make clear what principles we maintain and how these must be met. To this end, we have issued a Professional Code of Ethics, as well as a special Code of Ethics for Financial Officers.

In Accordance with SarOx
In keeping with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SarOx), KLM has also issued general guidelines in the KLM Code of Conduct. We have also instituted special policy and procedures for whistleblowers, including our Financial Whistleblower Policy.
