Now check in online with your mobile phone – quick and easy, wherever you are

KLM and Air France have introduced an even quicker and easier way to check in. If you cannot access a computer at your hotel or on your way to the airport, but want to check in early, just reach for your mobile phone!

The service allowing you to check in via www.klm.com has been specially designed for mobile phones with Internet access and has been optimized for high-resolution mobile phone screens. You don’t have to be a Flying Blue member or have booked online to make use of this service. Enter your e-ticket or booking code and your flight number, and your details will appear on the screen. You can then check your assigned seat – which, of course, you can also change if you like. You may then opt to receive a free text message with all your check-in details as a handy reference for later on. To collect your boarding pass, simply go to the check-in machines or the baggage drop-off points at the airport.
In the future, it will also be possible to receive your boarding pass with a barcode on your mobile phone. Because you can then use this barcode to board, you will no longer need a paper boarding pass.

Later this summer, KLM will also be offering the possibility to subscribe to a text message service via ‘My booking’ at klm.com. Once you have subscribed, you will automatically receive a text message every time you have not yet checked in for your KLM flight. This personalized service will save you time as it gives you direct access to mobile check-in.

This service will be available on selected routes within Europe. Further expansion of routes is due to take place in the course of 2007.
