Chile

Turin may be synonymous with cars and football (if that was not enough) but there is much more to the city than Fiat and Juventus.

Turin served as the seat of the Royal House of Savoy and the capital of the Kingdom of the same name for several centuries, something that can be clearly seen in the fantastic architecture and heritage. Piazza Castello with the two thousand year old Palazzo Madama, the royal church Chiesa di San Lorenzo and the Royal Palace, Palazzo Reale, with its beautiful gardens, are all worth a visit. And certainly not to be missed is the glass elevator ride to the top of the city’s symbol, the 167 metre tall Mole Antonelliana. The views of the Alps and the city below are simply breathtaking.

From 26 May 2014 KLMCityhopper flies twice a day from Amsterdam to Turin.
