23 June 2010 | This month marks the 10th anniversary of the SkyTeam alliance. Since its establishment in 2000, SkyTeam has grown to be one of the largest airline industry alliances in the world.
12 members

Aeromexico, Air France, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air were the original members of the SkyTeam alliance on its establishment ten years ago.
Since then, the group has gradually grown to include Alitalia, Air Europa, China Southern, Czech Airlines and Kenya Airways.
KLM joined the alliance in 2004. With the most recent addition of Vietnam Airlines, the SkyTeam now boasts twelve members.
Advantages to our passengers
SkyTeam is one of the largest cooperatives involving airline companies in the world. Passengers of each of the SkyTeam members benefit from more destinations, special offers and excellent connections within the entire SkyTeam network. During the journey, passengers can also enjoy the services of all SkyTeam airlines and Flying Blue members can both earn and spend Miles with all SkyTeam members.
Growing network
With the addition of Vietnam Airlines and the upcoming addition of the Romanian airline TAROM, we can offer even more destinations in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. The expansion also means additional destinations to the popular ‘Round the World’ tickets.
KLM in SkyTeam style
To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the SkyTeam alliance, all members have agreed to paint one percent of their fleet in SkyTeam colours. KLM has a Boeing 777-300 and a Boeing 737-900 in the air in SkyTeam livery.
