HAVANA - CUBA
KLM will launch thrice-weekly service to José Martí International Airport on Cuba starting 31 October 2011. Cuba will then become KLM’s 68th intercontinental destination.
Cuba offers tremendous diversity : from unspoilt nature and historical and cultural gems to luxury coastal resorts. Fly to this Caribbean island of rumba rhythms to discover 1950s cars, revolutionary spirit and hand-rolled cigars.

PUNTA CANA - DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

On 31st October, KLM is launching its 69th intercontinental frequency, with two weekly flights, with the start of its winter schedule.
BUENOS AIRES - ARGENTINA

After an absence of 10 years, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will resume scheduled services between Amsterdam and Buenos Aires on 31 October 2011. Buenos Aires will become KLMs’ 67th intercontinental destination.
Despite its European connections, Buenos Aires has a flavour all its own. Local culture is celebrated in the weekly Mataderos Fair, gourmet cuisine, a frenzied nightlife and top-drawer activities.The city's dozens of neighbourhoods, each with its own personality, offer museums, restaurants, shopping, history, dancing and outdoor activities to suit any taste or budget.
BASEL / MULHOUSE - SWITZERLAND / FRANCE

KLM will operate a twice-daily service to Euro-Airport, the airport serving Basel and Mulhouse, from the start of the 2011 winter schedule effective 30 October 2011.
KLM will operate the Basel/Mulhouse service using Fokker 70 equipment. Basel and Mulhouse are situated in a region around the French, Swiss and German borders which has over two million inhabitants. Basel is KLM’s third Swiss destination, while Mulhouse is KLM’s sixth French destination.
These two cities are very interesting for both business and holiday travellers. Basel is one of Europe’s most important centres for contemporary architecture and is a very attractive cultural city. Mulhouse, in the French region of Alsace, has a beautiful historical city centre and a rich offering of museums.

RIO DE JANEIRO / BRAZIL

KLM will retake the route to The Wonderful City starting November 1st 2011, with 3 flights per week, operated by B777-200ER.
Rio is a very atractive touristic destination, specially due to its well known beaches, Copacabana and Ipanema. Brazil will also host the coming Soccer World Cup in 2014, as well as the Olympic Games will also take place in Rio during 2016.

XIAMEN - CHINA

Effective the 27th of March 2011, KLM will launch a new route to the international airport of Xiamen in China. This flight will operate three times a week with Boeing 777-200ER equipment.
Xiamen is the second largest city of Fujian’s province with a population of 3 million inhabitants. Due to its favorable geographical location, Xiamen is experiencing rapid economic growth that attracts large international companies. The city is also a tourist destination with interesting cultural and historical emblems.

KLM announces a four-times-a-week round-trip service between Miami International Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport starting at the beginning of the Summer schedule on 27 March 2011.
