All-inclusive fares
Since April 2007, all quoted KLM fares have included the costs of taxes and surcharges. This makes ticket prices completely transparent so that you can see at a glance what you will pay for a return flight. By quoting our fares in this way, we are complying with the Dutch Code of Conduct for Travel Offers that requires the travel industry to include taxes and surcharges in the prices quoted for all flights.

Code of Conduct for Travel Offers
The Code of Conduct for Travel Offers is a law in the Netherlands that requires prices for travel to be quoted as prices that include all unavoidable costs (i.e. the costs over which consumers themselves have no control such as airport taxes and fuel surcharges).
A specification of all-in prices
| Part of the all-in price | Not part of the all-in price* |
| Schiphol airport tax - security surcharge - passenger surcharge - noise surcharge | Reservation costs |
| Destination airport tax | Paper ticket surcharge |
| Airport tax due at the transfer or stopover airport, if applicable | Credit card surcharge |
| Fuel surcharge | Local departure tax (in some countries |
*Costs not included in the all-in price
Because consumers have control over certain costs themselves, these are not included in the all-in ticket prices:
- Reservation costs. The amount for this varies according to the point of sale; it is lowest at klm.com.
- Paper ticket surcharge. If you ask for a paper ticket, you will have to pay a paper ticket surcharge. This cost is eliminated if you opt for an e-ticket.
- Credit card surcharge. If you pay for your ticket by means of a credit card, a surcharge will apply. This cost is eliminated if you pay with a banktransfer.
- Local departure tax. Because this tax depends on the destination you choose, it is not included in the all-in ticket price.
