Check in and board with your mobile phone or PDA
After the paperless office, it’s time for paperless travel: use your mobile device to check in and get your boarding pass as an SMS. This novelty is now available on increasingly more flights.
It’s really easy: all you need to do is use your PDA or smartphone to check in for a Air France or KLM flight. Your boarding pass will be automatically sent as an SMS, MMS or e-mail to your mobile device. All the details you need are in the message, just like its paper equivalent, including the barcode we scan at the gate before you board the plane. You don’t need to print out your boarding pass anymore - the only paper you still need to travel is your passport or ID card.
Do you want to shop and use the other facilities at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol? No problem! All baggage drop off points, security controls, lounges and duty-free shops are equipped to use the e-boarding pass.
The e-boarding pass was successfully tested on flights between Amsterdam and Paris and is now introduced on flights from the Netherlands and France to an increasing number of European destinations.
