Earning Miles the easy way
KLM, Air France, other members of SkyTeam and any other of our (non-) airline partners let you earn Miles for every flight or transaction. Award Miles add up to Award tickets and other great offers. Level Miles count towards our Elite membership levels: Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Earning Miles in the air
For every mile flown with KLM, Air France or any other member of SkyTeam, you are rewarded with one Award Mile and one Level Mile*. If you choose to fly with one of our other airline partners, every mile flown is rewarded with one Award Mile. The total number of Miles credited to your account depends on the distance of your flight and the class you travel in. There is a minimum of 500 Award and Level Miles on most tickets for domestic flights. On most tickets for international flights, we offer you a minimum of 750 Award and Level Miles. Award tickets, Air Miles tickets and other similar tickets are not eligible for Miles. Tickets in some classes may earn fewer or no Miles. *Disclaimer non-eligible/reduced earning:
- Please note: some tickets are not or only partially eligible for Miles earning. For example: there is no earning on award or Air Miles tickets. For more information, please consult the Flying Blue airline partner pages.
- Level Miles can be earned only on SkyTeam partner flights and Kenya Airways flights.
Earning Miles on the ground
There are also plenty of Miles to earn if you keep your feet on the ground, thanks to an extensive list of non-airline partners that participate in the Flying Blue programme. Every time you visit or use the services of one of our non-airline partners such as Marriott, Hilton, Hertz and American Express, Award Miles will be credited to your account. Flying Blue members residing in France and paying with their Air France/KLM American Express Gold Card also receive Level Miles. For a full list of our non-airline partners, click here.
