Checked baggage
The following items are forbidden to be carried in the cargo hold of a passenger aircraft under European Union directives.
- Explosives, including detonators, fuses, grenades, mines and explosives;
- Gases: propane, butane;
- Flammable liquids, including gasoline, methanol;
- Flammable solids and reactive substances, including magnesium, firelighters, fireworks, flares;
- Oxidizers and organic peroxides, including bleach, car body repair kits;
- Toxic or infectious substances, including rat poison, infected blood;
- Radioactive material, including medicinal or commercial isotopes;
- Corrosives, including mercury, vehicle batteries;
- Vehicle fuel system components which have contained fuel.
Lithium batteries unless installed in an electronic device. Spare lithium batteries may only be carried in hand baggage.

Hand baggage

Restrictions apply to the carriage of spare lithium batteries in hand baggage:
Spare lithium batteries such as laptop & DVD player rechargeable batteries and lithium metal AA style batteries, are allowed in HAND BAGGAGE ONLY. Make sure to place each spare battery in its own protective case. If that case is not available anymore, place tape across the battery's contacts to isolate terminals, and place each battery separately in a plastic bag or package.
