Terms and conditions of Additional Baggage Allowance

1. Additional Baggage Allowance

1.1 During Internet check-in (ICI) KLM offers you against an additional payment the opportunity to carry baggage in excess of the free baggage allowance applicable to your ticket (Additional Baggage Allowance). More information about the free baggage allowance is available on www.klm.com

2. Requirements and qualifications

2.1 Additional Baggage Allowance can only be used in combination with your ticket for which you have bought it during Internet check-in. The Additional Baggage Allowance is personal and not transferable.

2.2 The Additional Baggage Allowance is only valid on flights operated by KLM. The Additional Baggage Allowance is only valid for one way until stopover or place of destination.

2.3 The Additional Baggage Allowance is not valid for the carriage of animals and sport equipment.

2.4 The General conditions of carriage of KLM are integral part of these terms and conditions.

2.5 You further represent that all information supplied by you is accurate and that you will not make any speculative, false or fraudulent baggage reservation. You further represent that you will only make reservations for your self or for another person on whose behalf you are entitled.

3. Refund and change of flight

3.1 You are entitled to a refund representing the cost of the Additional Baggage Allowance, if:

(I) your ticket pertaining to your Additional Baggage Allowance is refundable, provided you have used such right; or

(II) your flight is not operated by KLM; or

(III) Your baggage for which you’ve bought the Additional Baggge Allowance, is lost and not found within a reasonable timeframe.

3.2 If you decide to carry less baggage than you are allowed subject to your free baggage allowance applicable to your ticket including your Additional Baggage Allowance, you are not entitled to a refund.

3.3 The carriage of baggage in excess of the applicable free baggage allowance including your Additional Baggage Allowance is subject to an additional charge.

3.4 Subject to the rules of ticket pertaining to your Additional Baggage Allowance, you may change your flight or the date of your flight at no extra charge, provided the baggage rules of your new flight are the same.
