I ordered an e-ticket. How do I know that the booking has actually been made and that there are no problems?

A Trip Summary and Receipt can be used to check your ticket details. After you booked an e-ticket, you will receive a Trip Summary and Receipt email which holds all details of your booking and trip. You may also view your flight information by clicking on Manage my Booking on our homepage.

In case you have any doubt about whether the information is correct, please contact either the travel agent that you booked with or use klm.com to contact us. 

How do I reconfirm my flight?

Reconfirmation is not necessary when flying with KLM or one of its partners if you are holding a confirmed reservation.

You can check your reservation online under Manage my Booking at our homepage by filling in your last name and booking code. Ensure that the spelling of your last name is exactly as it is on your ticket.

Can I change or cancel my booking online?

Whether or not you can change your ticket online depends on the fare conditions that apply on the booking class. Click here to check the general fare conditions for your ticket based on the fare group.

Currently, KLM.com facilitates making changes only to e-tickets that have been booked on KLM.com and issued by paying a Full Flex fare (in either B or S class). Such e-tickets can be changed under Manage my Booking at KLM.com up to 30 hours before departure.

How can I make changes to my reservation?

For making a change on tickets booked: 
- through KLM.com on non-Full Flex fares or paper tickets, please contact KLM Reservations desk at (21) 252 6741; 
- through a travel agent, please contact your travel agent; 
- through the telephone, please contact the KLM Reservations desk at (21) 252 6741.

Additional info: Only for bookings from Jakarta - Kuala Lumpur - Jakarta purchased in H, K, M, B, S, I, C and J class, the first change is free of charge. Subsequent changes can be made at a fee of USD15.

For tickets purchases in V, T, Q and L class, a change can be made at a fee of USD 20. For tickets purchased in Z class, a fee of USD 60 applies.

In addition, an administration fee may apply to this service. Please check the fare conditions before attempting to make a change or cancellation. The conditions that apply to making changes to e-tickets are the same for paper tickets too.

Can I add in my special meal request after making my booking?

Special meals can be ordered up to 36 hours before the departure of your intercontinental flight. If you booked your ticket on KLM.com, please use the Manage my Booking functionality on our homepage to make the request. If you have booked through a travel agent, please contact them to make the request. If you change your reservation, we advise you to remind your travel agent or KLM Reservations desk employee that you have ordered a special meal.

Can I add my Flying Blue number to my reservations?

If you booked your ticket on KLM.com, please use the Manage my Booking functionality on our homepage to add your Flying Blue number to your booking. If you have booked through a travel agent, please contact them to make the request. 

What is Internet check-in? How does it work?

Internet check-in means you check-in for your seat online at KLM.com as early as 30 hours before departure, and you only need to be at the airport to drop off your luggage and validate your boarding pass latest 90 minutes before your flight. Currently, this option is only available for passengers holding e-tickets (families with infants or passengers with paper tickets are not yet able to use this facility). Even if you do not have a printer to print out your boarding pass, you may still do an Internet check-in and confirm your seat first.  

How can I get refund for my half used/unused ticket?

Whether or not you can cancel and get a refund for your ticket depends on the fare conditions that apply on the booking class. To get a refund, please contact us at e-service.id@klm.com.

How can I make payment for change/penalty fee? Should I go to the KLM Town office or at the airport?

Payment for change/penalty fees should be made within 3 days after the change is made.

If you prefer to pay by credit card, it can be done immediately upon making the change through calling the KLM Reservation desk. Alternatively, if you wish to make cash payment, you may do so at the either the airport or KLM Town office at:

What amount will I be charged for excess baggage?

If your baggage exceeds your maximum allowance, you have the following options:

- You can pay an excess baggage fee of EUR30 per additional kilogram at check-in on the day of your departure and take it with you on your flight, OR

- If the weight concept applies to your baggage, you can purchase additional baggage allowance with a 30% discount on the normal excess baggage rate up to one day prior to departure. This extra allowance can be purchased from the KLM Town office,
