Standard excess baggage charges
Piece concept
The piece concept applies whenever you see ‘PC’ on your ticket in the box marked ‘allow’. The following excess baggage rates apply when checking in for a flight operated by KLM, Air France, Northwest Airlines, including any other connecting flight with another airline’s aircraft. You can pay this amount during online check-in, at the airport or at your travel agent.
Please note: If you check in excess baggage for a KLM, Air France, Northwest Airlines flight operated by another airline, other excess baggage rates may apply.

Note:
- If multiple charges apply to one piece, add up all relevant charges. However, the total to be charged for one piece shall not exceed EUR 500
- From Canada amounts as shown are charged in CAD.
- From USA, Mexico, Panama, Brazil, Havana, Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Antanarivo amounts shown are charged in USD.
- From other countries, where applicable, convert EUR into local currence using current exchange rate.
