With AIR FRANCE, KLM and SkyTeam
You can earn Award and Level Miles on most flights taken with AIR FRANCE, KLM or any other SkyTeam airline partner. You can only earn Miles on flights taken by you personally. The number of Miles you earn varies according to:
- distance flown (actual distance, set number of Award Miles or minimum mileage)
- ticket fare*
- class of travel*
To receive your Miles, always remember to mention your Flying Blue card number when
- making a reservation
- checking in at the airport
* Certain exceptions apply.
Two kinds of Miles for two kinds of benefits
Your Miles can be exchanged for awards or determine your membership level, depending on its type.

** Elite membership can also be determined by the number of one-way SkyTeam flights you have taken.
Validity of Award Miles
As a Flying Blue member, your Award Miles are valid for life and will never expire, simply by taking one flight* every 20 months on AIR FRANCE, KLM, our partners Air Europa, Kenya Airways, Aircalin and TAROM or any other of our SkyTeam partners.
* With a fare that earns Miles.
Earn more with your Elite bonus
When flying with AIR FRANCE, KLM, our partners Air Europa, Kenya Airways and TAROM as well as our other SkyTeam partners, as a Flying Blue Elite (Silver) or Elite Plus (Gold and Platinum) member, you benefit from a special bonus on the Award Miles you earn.
The bonus means:
- 50% more Award Miles for Silver members
- 75% more Award Miles for Gold members
- 100% more Award Miles for Platinum members
