Hyderabad International Airport at Shamshabad begins operations.

This is for the information of all our passengers traveling from and to Hyderabad. Effective 23 March, 2008, the existing airport at Begumpet, Hyderabad will cease to be operational and the new Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad will commence operations.  

The new airport will offer services of the highest standards and will be equipped to handle 12 million passengers per annum and 100,000 tons of cargo per annum in the first phase. 
  
A call centre facility has been set up by the Airport authorities to assist passengers and general public in getting information about the new airport.hyderabad_isp The toll free to be dialed is 1800-102-2008. The call center will be operational from 0600hrs – 2200hrs (till 10 March, 2008). Thereafter a 24-hour service will be in place at the call centre.

Please be advised all international departing passengers traveling from Hyderabad, will be required to pay a User Development Fee (UDF). This fee is levied by the Hyderabad Airport Authority. 

The applicable UDF for passengers who have purchased their ticket in India in the Indian currency will be INR 1,000. 

For passengers who have purchased their tickets abroad in a currency other than the Indian Rupee the fee levied will be USD 25. 

Service Tax would be charged additionally. 

This fee will be collected directly from the passengers departing on International flights from Hyderabad by the Airport Authorities.
