New Bengaluru International Airport commences operations.
This is for the information of all passengers traveling from and to Bangalore. Effective 23 May, 2008, the new Bengaluru International Airport at Devanahalli will commence operations.
As per the directive of the Airport Authority of Bangalore, a User Development Fee (UDF) of INR 1070 including taxes) will be collected from all outbound international passengers using the Bengaluru International Airport. The UDF covers the cost of construction and the operation of the airport and has been approved by the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India.
Departure before or on 30 June, 2008
International passengers traveling out of Bengaluru International Airport before or on 30 June, 2008 will have to make payment of this fee at the counters provided in the check-in hall or on the first floor before immigration check counters.
Passengers should produce the receipt of payment at the immigration check.
Payment can be made by cash, credit card or debit card. (Visa / Mastercard only)
Departure on or after 01 July, 2008
For passengers traveling out of Bengaluru International Airport on or after 01 July, 2008 the UDF will be included in your ticket.
Exemptions
Infants under the age of 2 years.
