Ticket options
E-tickets are rapidly becoming the industry standard and are now available to most destinations served by KLM and our partners. Paper tickets are still available on request, but there will be a USD25 surcharge to issue paper tickets on an e-ticket route.
E-ticket advantages
- Fast. No need to pick up your ticket or wait for it in the mail. Once you’ve booked, you’re ready to go.
- Safe. Your e-ticket can’t be lost or stolen. It stays safely stored in our computer at all times.
- Simple. Just show identification to check in and you’re on your way.
Booking
Reserving e-tickets is just like reserving other tickets. If you select a destination for which e-tickets are available, you will automatically be offered this option. E-tickets are available at all times for all KLM destinations except Tripoli and Luxembourg. E-tickets can also be issued for combined flights involving KLM and its various airline partners.
Confirmation
In place of a paper ticket, you’ll receive a “Trip Summary and Receipt” containing all important flight details and your e-ticket number. KLM (or your travel agent) will send this by e-mail, fax or post, depending on your country of residence. We recommend that you keep a copy of this with you while you travel. If an immigration officer asks to see a return ticket, your e-ticket confirmation must be shown.
Check-in
E-ticket holders may use Internet check-in in addition to all other KLM check-in options (telephone, self-service machine, airport desk). Click here to check in.
