Open: 2 hours before scheduled departure 
Close: 30 minutes (Europe) or 60 minutes (intercontinental) before scheduled departure 

Note: At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, baggage drop-off points open at 5:00am for all flights. Check the KLM web site for baggage drop-off points at other airports.

Baggage drop-off points are located in the airport departure hall. At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, you will find them in departure hall 2. At other airports, they are located at our Europe Select or World Business Class check-in desks.

Passengers who are departing from the Netherlands or the UK and who have a confirmed reservation on a flight operated by KLM, AIR FRANCE, Northwest Airlines, Kenya Airways or a partner airline where a KL or AF flight number applies to the ticket. 

For passengers traveling with checked baggage, telephone check-in is possible on departure from Amsterdam and London Heathrow only.

For flights to the US, this can be done between 24 hours and one hour before departure. The service is available 24 hours a day.

When departing from Amsterdam or London Heathrow, you can print your boarding pass at the self-service check-in machines in the departure hall. 
When you are departing from other airports in the Netherlands or the UK and your baggage is limited to hand baggage, your boarding pass will be ready for you to collect at the check-in desk.
