New World Business Class
KLM offers journeys of inspiration. And the upgraded World Business Class will certainly play its part.
KLM is taking its World Business Class to higher levels. From pillows, curtains and carpets to new ‘full-flat’ seats: Passengers in World Business Class will soon experience more comfort in every detail together with a warm, friendly ambiance. The new seats and the smart layout will guarantee even more privacy. Passengers will certainly notice the effects of a high-end interior design: it came from the boards of Dutch design icon Hella Jongerius, who is world famous for her tableware, vases and furniture.
The ‘full-flat’ seats offer passengers more privacy and recline into a fully horizontal position to offer the best possible sleep. Hand-crafted details and a warm colour palette – with the KLM blue playing an important part, of course – characterise the new World Business Class. Care for the environment is also apparent: KLM has introduced the first aircraft carpeting made to the sustainable ‘cradle to cradle’ principle.
The renewal of World Business Class within the KLM fleet will take place in phases. July 2013 will see the first Boeing 747 fly featuring the new interior and the World Business Class cabins of the entire KLM fleet will have been transformed by around mid-2014.
