What is Seat Choice?
Seat Choice lets you choose from two kinds of Economy Class seats. A number of seats in the aircraft provide extra legroom; the other Seat Choice seats are located in a row with just two seats so that you have more privacy.
When can you opt for Seat Choice?
When you check in online, you can opt for Seat Choice on any intercontinental KLM flight:
- departing from Amsterdam
- departing to Amsterdam from Abu Dhabi, Aruba, Bahrain, Bangkok, Beijing, Bonaire, Capetown, Chengdu, Curaçao, Dammam, Delhi, Doha, Dubai, Hong Kong, Hyderabad, Jakarta , Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, Manila, Osaka, Paramaribo, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, St Maarten, Taipei, Tehran, Tokyo.
Reserving and paying for Seat Choice
You can make use of the Seat Choice option when you check in online between 30 hours and 1 hour previous to departure. Because the number of Seat Choice seats is limited, we advise you to check in online as early as possible to reserve one of these seats. The cost is EUR 50.00 per seat per flight and is payable by credit card only.
Flying Blue members
If you are a Platinum or Gold member of Flying Blue or WorldPerks, you do not have to pay for Seat Choice. When you check in online, you can reserve your seat with extra legroom or more privacy at no additional cost. Because the number of Seat Choice seats is limited, however, we advise you to check in and reserve your Seat Choice seat in good time.
