Entertainment during your flight
Would you like to know more about the entertainment available during your flight? Even before departure, you can find out which films will be shown during your flight. Enter the date, destination and departure location, and you will receive a list of the films to be shown on your flight.
Entertainment on board of KLM’s Boeing 777 and the Airbus A330 aircraft and in the World Business Class of the Boeing 747
All seats in all classes in KLM’s Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft and in the World Business Class of the Boeing 747 have their own personal screens and interactive entertainment system that provide you with films, television, text messaging and e-mail service.
Language courses
The beginners’ courses in 23 languages are programmes in the Berlitz World Traveller series. You engage in exercises, tests and games by using your own language to learn the language of your choice. At the end of every lesson, you receive a report mark.
Audio books
Audio books are becoming increasingly popular. Because we would like to make your trip as comfortable as possible you will be able to enjoy fantastic books during your flight by simply listening.
Business program
The ‘B-wise’ programme is primarily intended for international business travelers. It provides background information about the complex world of global business and addresses aspects of culture, business customs and protocol in various countries.
Entertainment on board of KLM and MD11 aircraft
World Business Class
With a personal screen at every seat, you can choose your own entertainment. You have a choice of the best movies, television programs and a wide range of music available on 12 video and 12 audio channels. We are currently installing this service in our fleet of MD11 aircraft.
Economy Class
Enjoy the best movies, popular television series, news and documentaries on a large screen. Would you rather listen to music? Then choose from 12 specially programmed audio channels, which offer a wide range of musical styles.
At the end of 2008, the entertainment system in the MD11s will be renewed. Then seats in both the World Business Class and the Economy Class will be equipped with a personal screen with an on-demand video system, games, text messaging and e-mail services as well as the three new programs listed above.
Holland Herald
Holland Herald is our award-winning monthly magazine, which is available in all KLM aircraft. This magazine was launched in 1966 and is not only the oldest in-flight magazine in the world but also the largest magazine published in English in the Netherlands. Each monthly issue has another interesting theme. The magazine also contains articles about travel, lifestyle and nice little gadgets, interesting facts and figures, a schedule of cultural events in the Netherlands, descriptions of destinations, and a catalogue listing tax-free items you can purchase on board of the aircraft. And, of course, the KLM/Holland Herald photography contest!
