Winter weather at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
Due to snow showers on Friday 3 February 2012, the runway capacity at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has been reduced. Some of our flights have been delayed or cancelled.
Rebooking
If you were travelling to, from or via Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on 3 February and your flight was cancelled, KLM has rebooked you to the next available flight.
You can log in to Manage my Booking to change your travel dates yourself, and view your flight details.
You can also contact us by telephone. Did you book your ticket via a travel agent? Please contact them to change your travel dates and/or destination.

Rebook options
1. Change of travel dates
If you want to change your travel dates:
- Departure should take place no later than Sunday 12 February 2013 – the original duration of stay remains unchanged.
- One departing travel date and one return travel date may be changed.
- Rebooking is free of change within the same booking class as stated in the original ticket.
- If rebooking to a higher booking class than the one stated in the original ticket, the difference in fare will be charged. You do not have to pay a change fee.
- Rebooking must be done by the end of the day of Tuesday 7 February 2012.
2. Change of destination
You may use the full value of your original ticket to buy new tickets of the same or a higher Air France, KLM and/or Delta Air Lines booking class:
- You do not have to pay a change fee.
- Rebooking must be done by the end of the day of Tuesday 7 February 2012.
Refunds
You may request a refund if your KLM flight to, from or via Amsterdam Airport Schiphol on Friday 3 February 2012 was cancelled, or delayed for more than 5 hours. Read more about refunds.

All Malev flights have been cancelled
As of Friday 3 February 2012, all Malev flights have been cancelled.
- If you will be travelling on a KLM flight with a Malev ticket, your journey will not be affected: your ticket will remain valid.
- If you will be travelling on a Malev flight with a KLM ticket, you will be rebooked to a KLM flight, or a flight of one of our partners. Please log in to Manage my Booking for your new travel details.

Strikes in France
From Monday 6 February 2012 to Thursday 9 February 2012, several unions in the civil aviation sector in France have called for an industrial action. This action is expected to have impact on some of the flights to, from or via France operated by Air France .

Passengers to and from Ghana: international certificate of vaccination mandatory
If you will be travelling to or from Ghana, you are required to have a certificate of vaccination when arriving at, or departing from Kotoka International Airport.
Local authorities will inspect every passenger’s certificate. If you do not bring an international certificate of vaccination, you will not be able to enter or leave Ghana.

Situation in Libya
Due to the current situation in Libya, we have cancelled all KLM flights to Tripoli.
If you were travelling to, from or via Tripoli between Monday 21 February 2011 and Saturday 25 March 2012, you may either rebook your flight or apply for a refund.

You may change your travel dates or change your destination:
- You do not have to pay a change fee
- When rebooking to a higher booking class, you need to pay the fare difference
- When rebooking to a lower booking class, the fare difference will not be refunded
- Rebooking and re-issuing of tickets must be done by the end of the day on Saturday 25 March 2012.
Refunds
If you bought your ticket via KLM.com, a KLM ticket office or KLM Telephone Reservations, and your ticket number starts with 074, you can apply for a refund .
If you booked via a travel agent, you should contact them directly.
Receive flight info via SMS or e-mail
Would you like to stay informed on the latest about your flight? Make sure to leave your mobile phone number and e-mail address when booking your flight.
We will let you know via SMS and/or e-mail when check-in has started, if there is a gate change, or if your flight has been delayed or cancelled. Receiving messages from our KLM Connect service is free.
Reporting delayed baggage
Please report lost baggage to the Baggage Service Office immediately. You are required to fill out a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) within 5 days of your arrival.
Reporting delayed baggage online
You can also report lost baggage online (within 2 days), provided that:
- You travelled on a flight operated by KLM or AIR FRANCE and your final destination was Amsterdam.
- Your KLM flight departing from Amsterdam was cancelled after you dropped off your bag(s), but your bag(s) were not returned to you.
