E-ticket information

E-tickets are rapidly becoming the industry standard and are now available to most destinations served by KLM and our partners. Paper tickets are still available on request on an e-ticket route.

E-ticket advantages

  • Fast. No need to pick up your ticket or wait for it in the mail. Once you’ve booked, you’re ready to go.
  • Safe. Your e-ticket can’t be lost or stolen. It stays safely stored in our computer at all times.
  • Simple. Just show identification to check in and you’re on your way.

Confirmation

In stead of a paper ticket, you’ll receive a “Trip Summary and Receipt” containing all important flight details and your e-ticket number. KLM (or your travel agent) will send this by e-mail, fax or post, depending on your country of residence. We recommend that you keep a copy of this with you while you travel. If an immigration officer asks to see a return ticket, your e-ticket confirmation must be shown.
