Order à la carte
Because tastes differ, we offer more choice. In addition to our standard meals, you can also enjoy 5 delightful à la carte meals.
You can order à la carte meals for Economy Class on international KLM flights departing from Amsterdam to all destinations except for Cairo, Tel Aviv and Toronto:
- Until 48 hours before departure in My Trip
- When checking in online - between 30 and 24 hours before departure
- Or when booking your flight
Each meal costs EUR 12 to 15, or 5,000 Flying Blue Miles (the latter option will have to be arranged at My Trip)
Because we serve a limited number of à la carte meals per flight, be sure to order as soon as possible. If you have requested a special meal for religious, dietary or medical reasons, you cannot order an à la carte meal.
Dutch tradition
Discover Dutch cuisine: healthy, hearty and flavourful. Begin your Dutch dinner with a starter of beef salad à la hussarde with asparagus spears wrapped in ham.
You can then enjoy two fillets of plaice with Hollandaise sauce, mashed potatoes, blanched sugar snaps and carrots.
A selection of Dutch cheeses – Leerdammer and Old Amsterdam – accompanied by walnuts and plums, is followed by a dessert featuring a spiced biscuit mousse with caramel sauce.
Japanese delight
Love the elegance of Japanese cuisine? Indulge yourself in the refined tastes of the land of the rising sun!
You start your meal with the Japanese delicacy of sushi, a wakame seaweed salad and lightly smoked salmon with wasabi mayonnaise.
This is followed by a delightful chicken dish with steamed rice and vegetables and a salad made of Japanese soba noodles and sesame seeds. For dessert, we serve vanilla mousse with strawberry compote.
Bella Italia
A Bella Italia meal includes the most delicious flavours of Italy!
We start by serving antipasti with olives, artichoke, marinated goat cheese, stuffed salami, spinata romana and prosciutto ham on a bed of mixed greens.
You then enjoy pasta carbonara with pancetta and cheese sauce topped with pine nuts as the main course.
As a side dish, we serve a traditional Caprese salad with mozzarella, tomato and pesto and tiramisu for dessert.
Cold delicacies
If you’d prefer a cold meal, this filling dish is the perfect choice!
To start, you can enjoy a duo of smoked salmon and coconut-marinated prawns.
For the main course, we serve a filling salad with sautéed chicken strips, roasted sweet peppers, boiled egg and mixed greens, served with a side of Caesar dressing.
We also offer mixed organic cheeses: garlic cheese and mild Gouda cheese with rye bread, organic tomato jam and walnuts.
Indonesian rice dishes
An Indonesian rice table with its many highly flavoured dishes is a favourite culinary tradition among the Dutch. Savour the flavours of this famous legacy!
Your Indonesian rice table starts with a kohodo salad with sweet potato, coconut and lemongrass-marinated shrimp and an Asian fruit salad with sweet soy sauce.
The main dish is a Beef Rendang, a slightly spicy Indonesian beef stew with basmati rice and sliced green beans with a side of spicy sambal sauce.
As a side dish, you can enjoy a ketoprak salad with thin noodles and vegetables and, for dessert, we serve spekkoek.
Refund
In the rare case that the meal you ordered is not available, you can always choose from our standard meals prepared by leading chefs when on board. You may then apply for a refund of the costs of your à la carte meal.
