Reservation fees
A reservation fee is charged for booking a KLM ticket, the amount of which depends upon the reservation method. The cheapest option is to make a reservation via www.klm.com, where the fee is € 10 per ticket. Booking your flight by phone or in a KLM Ticket Office in Romania costs between € 25 and € 55 per ticket depending on your destination and class of service, as follows:

Surcharge on Paper Tickets
Travellingwith an e-ticket has now become the standard at KLM, offering you a wide range of benefits. E-tickets cannot be lost, forgotten or stolen, and you can check-in online via www.klm.ph.
Paper tickets used to be available at a surcharge. However, starting 1 June 2008, paper tickets are no longer available and therewith this surcharge is no longer applicable.
Fuel Surcharge
The price of kerosene is currently high and subject to major fluctuations. Due to this, KLM needs to add a fuel surcharge to the ticket price of each flight in your journey. This surcharge is subject to developments in the oil market, and may differ per destination and the duration of the flight. The exact fuel charge per flight is always specified when booking your journey on KLM.com.
Security surcharge
The security surcharge amounts to € 5 per segment flown and is levied for insurance and security measures, as separately indicated on the ticket. Insurance premiums have risen considerably in conjunction with the increased risk of terrorist attacks. In addition, structural security measures are still being implemented in various processes onboard and at airports.
Airport tax at Schiphol
The total airport tax for flights departing from Schiphol is EUR 28.00 . This
figure includes the following surcharges, which KLM has to transfer to
Schiphol Airport:
- security surcharge EUR 12.95
- passenger surcharge EUR 14.66
- noise surcharge EUR 2.00
These surcharges are added together as one amount in the ticket.
Philippine Travel Tax
- 1Foreign nationals (adult, children, infants) are exempted from paying the Philippine Travel Tax as long as they have not stayed in the Philippines for over a year. A photocopy of their passports showing their latest arrival stamp should be forwarded to the Air France KLM ticket counter within 24 hours after booking otherwise the Philippine Travel tax of Php1,620 (equiv in USD) will be automatically added to the taxes. - 2Infants (aged 0-1 year) who are Philippine nationals are exempted from paying the travel tax. They have to secure a Travel Tax Exemption Certificate as proof. Original documents should be received by the Air France KLM ticket office within 24 hours after booking otherwise the Philippine Travel tax of Php1,620 (equiv in USD) will be automatically added to the taxes . Faxed documents are not allowed
- 3Children (aged 2-11 yrs.) who are Philippine nationals pay only half of the travel tax. They have to secure a Reduced Travel Tax Certificate from the Department of Tourism as proof. Original documents should be received by the Air France KLM ticket office within 24 hours after booking otherwise the full amount of the Philippine Travel tax of Php1,620 (equiv in USD) will be charged to the credit card instead the discounted 50% tax. Faxed documents are not allowed.
Airport tax at destination airports
All airports charge airport taxes on airline tickets. The exact amount depends on the destination, and is detailed separately in the total price of the ticket.
