What are the benefits of Internet check-in?
You are able to check in everywhere, irrespective of where you are (from 30 hours before departure).
You choose your own seat and print your own boarding pass (for example, at home or at your office).
You save time at the airport (no queues at the check-in desks).
Step 1 - E-ticket
Fill in the e-ticket number or the booking code that you received by e-mail after you booked and then fill in your flight number and personal data.
Step 2 - Seat selection
Select your seat.
Available only through Internet Check-in: Seat Choice: preferred seats.
Step 3 - Boarding pass
Print your boarding pass at home or use the self-service check-in machines at the airports.
Step 4 - Luggage
In the case of European flights, hand in your luggage until 30 minutes before departure at a KLM baggage drop-off point at the airport. For intercontinental flights this is possible until 60 minutes before departure.
Given the queues and security measures in the case of a European destination, you are requested to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. In the case of intercontinental flights this is at least 3 hours before departure.
You can check in online for both your outward and return journeys (normally from
30 to 1 hour prior to departure).
If traveling alone or in a group of up to nine people, you can take advantage of the convenience of Internet check-in! You can check in online when traveling with hand baggage or hold baggage. All you need is an e-ticket for one of the following flights:
Internet check-in is available for the following flights
• all flights operated by KLM
• all KLM flights operated by Air France, Northwest Airlines, Continental Airlines and Kenya Airways
• all KLM flights operated by Malev Hungarian Airlines, Ukraine International Airlines, flyLAL, Czech Airlines, Meridiana Airlines, Cyprus Airways and Aer Lingus departing from Amsterdam Schiphol
Your booking confirmation indicates the airline operating your flight.
Prior check-in is not allowed at all airports.
As a result of immigration, security and airport limitations, some airports do not allow the printing of your own boarding pass prior to departure. In this case, you can check in at a self-service check-in machine or at the check-in counter at the airport.

Irregular check-in times
For the following flights Internet check-in is available from 24 to 1 hour prior to departure:
• Flights from Amsterdam to the US.
• Flights from London Gatwick, Paris (CDG), Frankfort, Düsseldorf or Brussels to the US being operated by Northwest Airlines.
• Flights to Amsterdam from Cairo (KL0554), Cape Town (KL0598), Delhi (KL0872), Dammam/Dahran (KL0440), Hyderabad (KL0874), Kano (KL0577), Kuwait (KL0458) and Teheran (KL0434).
