Entertainment during your flight
Would you like to know more about the entertainment available during your flight? Even before departure, you can find out which films will be shown during your flight. Enter the date, destination and departure location, and you will receive a list of the films to be shown on your flight.
Entertainment aboard KLM’s Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft
All seats in all classes in KLM’s Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 aircraft have their own personal screen and an interactive entertainment system that provide you with films and television, text messaging and e-mail service. On September 1, the existing line of films, games, music, hit TV series and documentaries will be enlarged. And three new programs will be introduced: language courses, audio books and a business program.
Language courses
The beginners’ courses in 23 languages are programs in the Berlitz World Traveler series. You engage in exercises, tests and games given in your own language to learn the language of your choice. At the end of every lesson, you receive a report mark.
Audio books
Because audio books are becoming increasingly popular, and we would like to make your trip as comfortable as possible, we will start offering three audio books, spoken in English, in September. Even during your flight, you can already be enjoying a great book simply by listening. The number of audio books made available will also increase during the upcoming period.
Business program
The new ‘B-wise’ program is primarily intended for international business travellers. It provides background information about the complex world of global business and addresses aspects of culture, business customs and protocol in various countries.
Entertainment aboard KLM’s Boeing 747 and MD11 aircraft
World Business Class
With a personal screen at every seat, you can choose your own entertainment. You have a choice of hit films, television programs and a wide range of music available on 12 video and 12 audio channels. At this time, our fleet of Boeing 747s is being updated. Starting in the summer of 2008, seats in World Business Class in this fleet will feature a personal screen and an interactive entertainment system with films, television, games, and text messaging and e-mail services. The four new programs listed above will also become available at that time.
Economy Class
Enjoy hit films, popular television series, news and documentaries on a large screen. Rather listen to music? Then choose from 12 specially programmed audio channels giving you a range of musical styles. At the end of 2008, the entertainment system in the MD11s, including seats in Economy Class, will be updated to provide a personal screen with an on-demand video system, games, text messaging and e-mail services, and the three new programs listed above.
Holland Herald
Holland Herald is our award-winning monthly magazine available in all KLM aircraft. This magazine was launched in 1966 and is not only the oldest in-flight magazine in the world but also the largest magazine published in English in the Netherlands. Each monthly issue has another interesting theme. The magazine also contains articles about travel, lifestyle and nice little gadgets, interesting facts and figures, a schedule of cultural events in the Netherlands, descriptions of destinations, and a catalogue listing tax-free items you can purchase aboard the aircraft. And, of course, the KLM/Holland Herald photography contest!
