Manston, Kent's International Airport near the city Ramsgate is going to be the 14th KLM destination in the UK. KLM will fly from 03 April 2013, twice a day, with a Fokker 70 to the South East of England. Kent is also known as the Garden of England. Green landscapes, numerous gardens, palaces and a unique coastal landscape characterize the county. Canterbury is only 25 miles away and London can be reached by car in about two hours.
Ålesund is going to be the 7th KLM destination in Norway. From 04 April 2013 KLM will fly twice a day with a Fokker 70 to the city on the Geirangerfjord. The city of Ålesund is built entirely in Art Nouveau style and was named the most beautiful city in Norway. It is located right at the entrance to the Geirangerfjord, which is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, a paradise for hiker, anglers and nature lovers. But it also attracts with museums and annual festivals such as the Ålesund theater festival, Ålesund Boat Festival and the Norwegian Gourmet Festival.
From 03 April 2013 KLM will fly to Fukuoka in Japan: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays a Boeing 777-200 will fly from Amsterdam to the largest city on the island of Kyushu. KLM is the only airline which flies non-stop from Europe to Fukuoka. The port city is located in the southwest of Japan and is the economic hub of the Kyushu region with about 16 million inhabitants. Rich in cultural and historical sites, the destination is also interesting for tourists.
Since 29 October 2012 KLM flies three times a week to Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. Flights are operated Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays with an Airbus A330-200. The city is located about 1,500 meters above sea level and is the economic and cultural center of the country. Its attractions include the Victoria Falls and the Lake Kariba. Hwange National Park is one of the most important wildlife reserves in Africa with its huge herds of elephant and buffalo, zebras, giraffes and many other animals.
Since 15 May 2012 KLM flies to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, 3 times per week with an Airbus A330-200. Lusaka is the economic and political center of Zambia. With an area of about 70 square kilometers it is one of the fastest growing cities in Africa. The country is rich in mineral resources, especially copper and cobalt. The Victoria Falls and Lake Tanganyika are, besides numerous national parks, the most famous tourist attractions.
