Excess baggage charges
Piece concept
The regulation that applies to your baggage can be found on your e-ticket under the heading ‘baggage’. The following excess baggage rates apply when checking in for a flight operated by KLM, Air France, Northwest Airlines, including any other connecting flight with another airline’s aircraft. You can pay this amount during online check-in, at the airport or at your travel agent.

You can arrange your extra baggage during online check-in if the piece concept applies. The discount, however, applies only when the weight concept is used to measure your baggage and not when the piece concept is used.
Please note: If you check in excess baggage for a KLM, Air France, Northwest Airlines flight operated by another airline, other excess baggage rates may apply.

Note:
- If multiple charges apply to one piece, add up all relevant charges. However, the total to be charged for one piece shall not exceed EUR 500
- From Canada amounts as shown are charged in CAD.
- From USA, Mexico, Panama, Brazil, Havana, Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Antanarivo amounts shown are charged in USD.
- From other countries, where applicable, convert EUR into local currence using current exchange rate.
