7 October 2013 | By annual tradition, KLM introduces a brand new Delft Blue house on 7 October.
Delft Blue miniature
As every year, we celebrate KLM’s birthday by revealing a brand new KLM Delft Blue house. On the occasion of KLM’s 94th anniversary we now add ‘De Oudheidkamer’ to the collection. This hostel on the Dutch island of Texel was built in 1599.
Throughout the centuries, travellers who had no other place to sleep were welcome to spend 3 nights in the house, where the hostel keeper and his family also provided meals to their guests.
‘De Oudheidkamer’ is now a local history museum.
Gift in Business Class
All World Business Class passengers receive a Delft Blue miniature house on board. The now famous replicas of real houses are avidly collected and exchanged.
With the KLM app for Delft Blue houses (for Android and iOS) you can easily keep track of your collection, read interesting background information on all houses and much more.
