See what you don't want to miss
Greetings, gallant traveler!
Were you among the first of your friends to start biking to work or shopping at vintage boutiques and organic farmers’ markets? You may answer yes to this question, but a new marketing campaign launched today called “Holland. The Original Cool.” shows travelers that what is now considered cool in America has been part of the cultural fabric of Holland for centuries.
KLM together with the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC), Amsterdam Marketing, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has introduced a new multi-year campaign for American travelers and inviting them to explore and embrace The Netherlands, a place that has always had a cool attitude toward art, design, architecture, eco-consciousness and more.
Through video, photo galleries and blog posts, visitors to the campaign will be given a detailed look at modern life in Holland. Visit holland.com/cool.
KLM is offering a non-stop service to Amsterdam from many US gateways, check our best sale fares and book your summer tickets now
What's cool about KLM
KLM's Meet & Seat service
KLM’s Meet & Seat lets you find out about interesting people who will be on board your KLM flight such as other passengers attending the same event as you at your destination.
Simply share your Facebook or LinkedIn profile details to check other participating passengers’ details and where they'll be sitting. Of course you can also choose your seat.
KLM's biofuel flight
KLM is operating weekly flights from John F. Kennedy Airport in New York to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol using sustainable biofuel. This series of flights partially powered by biofuel recovered from used cooking oil is another step in demonstrating greater proof of KLM’s pioneering role in sustainable flight.

Amsterdam is at the epicenter of the campaign in 2013 – a year that sees the capital city celebrating milestones like the 400th anniversary of the UNESCO-honored canal ring, reopening of the Rijksmuseum and completion of the Museumplein (Museum Square), and even the first King in more than a century.
