Discover the membership thresholds
Your Level Miles determine your Flying Blue membership level. After Ivory, come Silver, Gold and Platinum. The four membership levels offer you ever-increasing advantages and special benefits. When you reach the required number of Level Miles to move up to the next level, you will receive a new card in the color of your new membership level.
Your membership level
On 31 December, your Level Miles/Qualifying flights balance from the previous 12 months is checked. To keep your membership level, you need to have at least the minimum number of Level Miles or have made the necessary number of qualifying flights shown on the chart below. If this is not the case, your membership level will be downgraded. On 1 January of each year, this balance is reset to zero.
If you are an Elite member, however, every Level Mile you have earned above the minimum number of Miles required to maintain your current level will be carried over to the next year, so you will start the year with a positive account.* This means it is easier for you to maintain your current level or even be upgraded!
* You must have made at least one Qualifying flight during the year.
