Excess baggage fees
Each piece of check-in baggage may weigh up to 23 kg (50.5 lbs) in Economy Class and 32 kg (70.5 lbs) in Business Class. For each piece of check-in baggage that weighs more, you will need to pay a fee. Any piece of baggage that weighs more than 32 kg (70.5 lbs) will have to be transported as cargo.
However, you can also take an extra piece of baggage at a low standard fee. Take advantage of this discount of 20% or more on the excess baggage fee by arranging it:
-when booking online
-at Manage my Booking
-when you check in online
Arranging extra baggage online is possible only if your flight is operated by KLM.
Arranging extra baggage online at KLM.com is not possible if you will be departing from The Czech Republic, France, Germany (Berlin, Munich or Frankfurt), Ireland or the United States (except from Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, Houston or Washington DC). In this case, you can arrange for your extra baggage at the airport. This means that the discount will not apply.
